I know I'll Never Do Better...But We Have to Break Up

I'M SO TORN!!!  It drives me crazy that I have to sacrifice for the environment!  I hate it.  I wish I was one of those people that just make good choices naturally.  But I'm not.  I like things now...I like things tasty...and I like 'em CLEAN!  So I painted this image to remind me that I can't have it all.  And it hurts...I'm gonna miss you my love...

This painting is has been sold.

Silent Film Star

I love this guy. Yes, he's a fish, but clearly he's a romantic. He's the guy that will bring you chocolate without being prompted. And remember some obscure anniversary, like, "This date marks two years since the first time you tied my tie."
(I think tying a man's tie is sexy)

How did I get from this fish to tying a man's tie?
Clearly, I'm a romantic...

(I have a friend who calls this painting Silent Porn Star, 'cuz, ya know, fish can be saucy)

The Good, the Bad, and the Goldfish

This painting came about because I walk my adorable dog through the park almost every day. And every day I drop goldfish flakes into my daughter's State-Fair-coin-toss-prize goldfish tank and I think,  "If only I could walk my goldfish through the park..."  And while considering that I began to wonder what I must look like to them, through that big plate of glass that they can never understand...
...and now I wonder if they wish they could swim that enormous thing they see as me through their tiny little park-like tank.

The title came about because there is no denying the gunslinger factor, it's just difficult to say why that happened....

And I just found out that this painting was sold today...yay!!!  (Sorry Dave....)

Benevolent Madness

I've been asked by my father, who has been in the news game for more than thirty years, to describe my work in one sentence.  It's just one sentence, how hard can that be?  "Colorful" is at least accurate, I thought...  "Bold" is usually used in my presence...  and "Quirky" is probably the best description.   So, "Colorful, bold, and quirky depictions (that sounds pretty good) of some modern topics... that just won't leave me alone," was my original thought.  It's true, the topics really won't leave me alone, but I don't think you should use the word "bold" when describing your own work, and "colorful" sounds too childlike. But my work isn't exactly adultlike, so I ramain stuck.
"Fun fodder for therapy,"  was another little tidbit that came to mind.  However, using the word "fun" is just wrong, and "fodder" always makes me think of cows for some reason.  At least mentioning therapy is now in fashion.  (Too bad I've never been...I'm saving up)
But now suddenly the phrase "segue-free" comes to mind, how will I fit that in?
This isn't exactly easy, and "I got nothin'" isn't gonna get anybody out of the house...
I'm thinking I should just roll with "A good date movie,"
that'll pack 'em in.

(...and my father just called after having read this and he said, "That's great dear, but it's not one sentence.")
