Heightened Reality

So, I managed to get a DIY reality show called Turf War to come makeover my own backyard...no more watching from the sidelines and dreaming about the possibilities. And, yes, it is as good as it looks on t.v. (but with actual physical pain and distress thrown in). It is, like you might imagine, similar to the best Christmas you've ever had which, of course, has to also include the mandatory, family induced, grand highs and low lows. And they interview you every 45 minutes in front of a national audience and you just have to roll with it, regardless of your painful shyness. And even if it's 42 degrees, foggy, muddy and miserable out. You're just happy as a clam to be the lucky beneficiary.
For that show I painted this small Buddha Moon (painfully not my best work) on a freshly painted wet wall and had to dry it with a blow torch in order to see what I was doing (I wouldn't try this at home - I did wonder if I was gonna catch the wall on fire). And by pressing this button you can watch all the chaos unfold.

I have been lucky enough to work on the show as a muralist since then, and I love it, and have done better work, one of those episodes can be seen by pressing this button and another episode with my favorite outdoor painting, is yet to come...
