I have a particular affinity for this piece.  It sold at an auction benefitting the Mather Field Vernal Pools.  Just doing my part to help save the world.  That and the fact that I love to paint frogs.  If you ever want me to paint you a frog, I will, in a heartbeat.

It'll Only Hurt for a Second

I love the thought of the slow deliberate deadly squeeze of a giant Boa Constrictor.  I simply wanted to capture that feeling in this piece as the Green Movement slowly reduced the size of our collective carbon foot print to its ultimate and necessary death.

The Outer Child

This painting came about because I was unlucky enough to witness a small child go through too much for most adults to handle.  And through it all she remained hilarious and darling and innocent.  A lesson for us all.  And happily enough,  I saw the girl yesterday and she is doing beautifully...

The Quest

I feel so vulnerable when I'm getting my...no strike that....

I can only imagine that people who change the color of their hair must feel so vulnerable while under those dryers.... Foil in their hair... big black tunics hiding any trace of a figure they have left...All in the hopes of looking their best for 8 to 10 weeks.   Maybe they feel something like this...

This painting is pretty self explanitory.  Funny thing is, I hold the person who purchased it in such high regard that on the night of my show I was pretty sure my family pooled some money together and got him to buy it to encourage me to keep painting.  I still think that.
